Nursery Pictures

I went to the doctor today and there was no change. I am still not dialated. I did loose some weight though, and I heard that some women loose weight right before they go into labor. We'll see. I am walking everyday, trying to get gravity to do its magic! I have another doctors appt. next Thursday with an ultrasound. Hopefully baby Sage's weight has not gone up too much!

I took some pictures of our nursery. I am still waiting for the letters in his name to be made. I will hang them over the crib. My cousin's friend is making them for me, and I can't wait to see them! Other than that, we are all ready for Baby Sage!!

Big Baby to Come!!

Well today Ryan and I went to visit Dr. Castillo for an ultrasound and my first check "down there." The ultrasound tech estimated that Sage is 7 lbs 4oz. already! That scares me a little since I do have four more weeks yet. My stomach is measuring fine...just a big baby! I was told Sage was measuring about a week early right now. Dr. Castillo informed me that I was about 50% effaced and not really dialated yet. She just told me to walk 4-5 times a week and lay off the carbs and sweets. If at all possible I don't want to have an induction or a c section, but if he is HUGE I don't want that either. I am following suggestions and we will see where we are next Thursday at our next appt. She says we will do another ultrasound about a week out from the due date (if I make it that far) to see the size of Sage again.

I am feeling great, just tired and achy at times. I have a lot of baby and wedding showers in the next few weeks so we will see if I make them all! :) Here are two 3d pictures they took of Sage today. I can't wait to see him in person!
His arm is in his face a little on the first one.

His umbilical cord is up by his face in this one. He is just so squished in there!

8 1/2 months!!

Wow! I can't believe we only have six more weeks to go untill Sage's due date! We are completing all the little tasks we wanted to get done before his arrival. We took a birthing class at the hospital we will be delivering at. It was 6 hours on Saturday! It really wasnt' that bad. We got to tour the labor and delivery unit and learned some breathing techniques. I am deffinately planning on getting an epidural! I got a great massage from Ryan when practicing our relaxation techniques. Then all the pregnant women had to give the dad a massage. To show them how we liked it. Getting the massage was the best part of the day. Ryan and I laughed through a lot of the relaxation techniques, but we learned a lot. I know when the time comes, Ryan will be a great "birthing coach!" I can't wait to see how he reacts in the mist of all the excitement. Most importantly, I cant wait to see him as a father. I know he will be great!
Learning how to relax through contractions.

This is backwards!!

I was showing him how I wanted to be massaged.

I am feeling pretty BIG as of now. My feet and hands are very swolen. I can no longer wear my wedding or engagement rings and I can only wear tennis shoes and flip flops. It is very hard to get comfortable these days. Sitting or standing in one position for more than 5 minutes gets tricky. Sleeping is very tricky. I change postitions many times at night making it hard to get a good night sleep. Some good news thoughs....I am officially retired! My last day of work was April 1. I had a great year teaching PE at a private school close to our house. My last day was Field Day. Thank God my mom came to help! It was a LONG day.

I go to the doctor on Thursday, which starts my weekly doctor visits! SO close.....

Prayer Request
My brother, Brian, has a good friend who, over the years, has been very close to our family. His name is Marshall Matlock. He was recently diagnosed with Luekemia. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
