4 Months

I can't believe four months ago we didn't have Sage in our lives. He has brought us so much joy! We are so blessed to have such a carefree, easy (most of the time) baby. We love you Sage!

We had to change his outfit because I was trying to make him laugh, lifting him in the air and he spit up all over me and himself! The joys of Motherhood!! :)

Weekend with Uncle Brian and Aunt Suzanne

Sage had so much fun haning out with his Aunt and Uncle. Brian and Suzanne came in town this weekend and stayed with Ryan, Sage, and I. We did a lot of just hanging out at the house and watching Sage's many facial expressions. So funny! Before they came, I took some soccer pictures of Sage.

Keep Brian and Suzanne in your prayers. They are adopting from Rawanda and are awaiting the call from the Rawanda government to approve their adoption papers. From there, they will hear next from an orphanage. Sage could have a little African cousin this Christmas!! They are going to be great parents. Their little one will be so blessed to have them as parents! We are so excited! Her blog is http://www.littlewats.blogspot.com/

Rice Cereal

Well, we tried the rice cereal last night. I'm not sure he swallowed any!

This morning went better. Sage ate 1 tbs of rice cereal mixed with 1 oz. of formula. He was a mess, but I loved feeding him. He cracks me up!

I finally figured out how to post videos from my camera!

4 Month Well Check

After sleeping 12 hours last night (yay!!), we went to Sage's 4 month well check today. He will be 4 months this Saturday, Aug. 29. He did a great job. He was smiling at everyone he saw. He had to have two shots and one medication by mouth. He bearly cried during the shots. Once Ryan picked him up he was calm and smiling at him.
His stats
Weight- 14 lbs 4 oz 40 percentile (he gained 4 lbs in two months)
Length- 25 in 50 percentile (2 in. taller than last visit)
Head- 14 in 25 percentile
We got the ok to start feeding him rice cereal mixed with formula. She also said that if he is doing well with the cereal, after about 2 to 3 weeks, we could start baby food! Starting with vegetables. We are excited that our little baby is growing up! We will have to video the cereal attempt.

Busy weekend

We had a busy weekend.
First, Friday we had my cousins, my mom, and Jessica and Colt over to swim.
Ryan came home and all the boys were wearing blue!

Then, Saturday we went to Jessica and Danny's for a little party. Sage was with us till 5 and then he went to the Texan game with my parents and Cousins(first football game!!) For the FIRST time, Sage stayed with my parents overnight with out us!

At the McGraws

Already a Ladies Man! (oh no!)

One tired boy at the end of the game!

Then, Sunday we took some friends up to Ryan's parents house on Lake Conroe

The only picture I took. He was tired laying in the shade.

16 weeks

Sage is 16 weeks old today. We go for our 4 month well check next Tuesday. Things are going well at the DesAutels house. Sage is now sleeping about 11 hours at night with out his arms being swaddled. Next step is to loose the swaddle all together. Baby steps. He is napping with out me now! This is a huge success for us. He takes two short naps and then one long afternoon nap. I can't wait to start feeding him rice cereal next week. We'll see how it goes!
Here are some recent pictures from around the house.
I wish his eyes weren't closed! This is on the swing at my parents house last Friday.

Yesterday I took Sage to my parents house to swim with his second cousins, Payton (6) and the triplets (3), Carson, Sophie and Reece. They all wanted to hold him! Don't worry Lisa was really holding him mostly.

Sage gets Baptized!

We had Sage baptized this past Sunday. It was a very special and important day to us. He did a great job. He was awake during the whole service and didn't fuss! It was the first time we have taken him to church. He was baptized at the same church I was baptized in. What made the day extra special was all the friends and family that attended. My brother and Suzanne were in town from LA and My sister and Jason were in town from Oklahoma! After the service we had a reception at the house for those who could make it. It is great that so many people love Sage so much. God is Good!!

On the way to the church...he is REALLY excited can't you tell?!

My parents got to represent the session and read a few lines. It was special!
