5 Months!

Sage turned 5 months old today, September 29. He is such a big boy. We love him so much. He is pretty sick right now, congested at least. We have had a tough few days and nights. I did get some cute pictures though, sick or not!
5 month updates
-He still hasn't rolled over yet, but so close!
-Bedtime is about 7:45. He has started waking up early recently, but I bring him into my room and we sleep till about 8:30 (don't judge!)
-He takes one nap during our morning walk from 9:45-10:45. Then another nap around 1:30.
-He has started baby food that I am making. I have made pears, peaches, prunes, Peas and zuchini. I think he likes the peaches the best so far.
- He smiles and laughs a lot and loves toys that light up
-He goes to Jessicas house on Tuesdays so I can go to kickboxing and stays in the nursery at our church on Thursdays while I go to bible study. He seems to do great with anyone right now. Hopefully he stays that way, and doesn't get seperation anxiety! Like me!

Three new Posts!

Check out my three new posts! We have been busy!
Sage's favorite place to sleep from 6am to 8:30am! He looks so tiny in our huge bed!

Night at Grandmas

Ryan and I had our 2nd anniversary last Tuesday and Sage stayed with Grandma DesAutels. We had a very special night. I love him so much and can't wait for all the years ahead. Life has changed so much in the last two years! I wonder how different life will be in another two years! Sage had so much fun with his Grandma and all her new toys. thanks Jean!

Daddy's new football Buddy!

Here are some pics of Sage, Ryan and Grandpa Wats enjoying football season!

Typical male, loves the remote!

Mommy Weekend!

Jessica, Amanda, and I met Ashleigh in Dallas for a much needed mommy night out. We left on Saturday, had a great dinner in Dallas and night talking and catching up, then we drove home Sunday morning. We left the babies with their Dads for the first time over night. They hung at our house and watched some football while playing with the kids. Ryans parents stopped by to visit so we got some great pics of the three babies and their daddys. They did a great job! I missed Sage a lot but it was a good practice for our trip to Jamaica in a few weeks. Here are some pictures form the trip!
Saying goodbye to the two most important things in my life!

Getting to the hotel!
At the bar after dinner. Dinner was AMAZING! We went to Habiscus.
We stopped at Bucees on the way home. It was packed!

SO HARD

I leave Sage with my mom, Jean (Ryan's mom), or Jessica at least twice a week while I go work out. So, I figure that dropping him off with the child care workers at our church, while I went to a bible study would be easy. Boy was I WRONG! As I dropped him off and was talking to the ladies in his room I noticed I was fighting back tears and sweating alot. I left him there very confident that he would be fine, the ladies were very nice that were taking care of him and he is a very easy baby. Usually happy and can be consoled by anyone if he is upset. Even though I knew he was fine and I left him smiling, it was really HARD to be away from him. I didn't stop sweating for about 30 minutes and was on the verge of tears the whole two hours. I picked Sage up and he was so happy. He did a great job and was happy to see me. I was fine untill I got home and then I just lost it. Ryan's mom came over and I just cried to her about how hard it was to leave him. I guess it was because I didn't know the people I was leaving him with very well. I talked to my mom and Ryan two hours later and got choked up again. Then tonight, while I was putting him to bed, I started crying again! I was thinking about how Ryan and I are going to Jamaica in 5 weeks with out Sage. That is going to be super hard. At least he will be with my parents and Ryan's parents.
I don't know how moms that go back to work after having a baby do it! I could not emotionally leave Sage every day. I can't even do it for two hours! I am so blessed that I get to stay home with Sage. Thanks Ryan!

Noah's Ark

My parent's have a room in their house that they have transformed into Noah's Ark. It is their nursery for Sage and future grandchildren. I have never seen anything like it. It is amazing! Two local painters (one is a friend of my moms) were at my parents house everyday for about 3 months. The pictures do not do it justice! I can't wait when Sage is older and really understands and enjoys the room.
Right when you walk in, to the right there is a scroll with a shortened version of the story of Noah's Ark

The crib is in the middle of the Ark

The book shelf and drawers. Doesn't it look like the room keeps going?!

Animals two by two

More animals saved by Noah

the wall ends after the cages next to the elephants. They made it look like it keeps going on with more animals
Bird Cage

Each post will have a grandchild's name. Sage is the first!

Can't forget the Eagles! Again the painters make it look like the ark keeps on going.

The view as you're leaving the room. Love the giraffes!

Not a good luck charm

Unfortunantly, Sage is not a good luck charm like we were hoping. My parents, our friends Jeremy and Courtney, Sage, Ryan, and I flew up to Stillwater for the game. OSU sadly lost to Houston. We had fun on the short trip though.

Jen meets Sage for the first time!

Sage's First Astros Game

We took Sage to his first Astros game Friday. The headphones he has on are to protect his ears. We go to a lot of sporting events that are very loud. I bought the headphones online and he doesn't seem to mind them. The loud noises don't scare him anymore!
