Walker

I got Sage a walker the other day from Target. It is great! He loves it and I love that I don't have to break my back walking around with him all day. Many afternoons my neighbors and I will come out and let the kids play in the cul-de-sac. There are a bunch of kids on our street and they all love to play with baby Sage!

Sage was not napping very well and it was very hard to get him to go down at night. Katie Cato reccomended and let me borrow a book called Healthy Sleep Habits, Healthy child. I read the book the next day and started the sleep schedule last Monday.
What a world of a difference!!!! Sage is now taking two naps a day at 9 and 1 and sometimes a third nap. I soothe him for about 10 minutes then put him down awake. He doesn't even cry anymore. Just falls asleep on his own!! This is a HUGE succes for us. It;s so freeing to put him down and walk away and not spend 45 minutes trying to get him to go to sleep. Then at night, I bathe him, give him a bottle, soothe him and put him down. This used to take forever, but now I know he can be put in bed awake and fall asleep by himself! We are putting Sage down at 6:30 and he wakes around 6:30. No crying!!! Of course every day is not perfect and every nap is not perfect but it is miles from where we started!

The book has great tips, problem solving techniques, and explains to you how important good sleep is. THANK YOU Katie!!!
I highly reccomend this book! It is broken up into ages too! Great to have even if you are not having problems now. You never know what will come at what age!

Birthday Parties!

Sage's went to a birthday party last Saturday for Leighton Kelly! We had a great time! Good job Amanda, so cute!!

Then we went to Colt McGraws birthday party this Saturday. We had a great time hanging with friends and watching our little boys play. Sage wants to be walking like Colt so bad! Two great birthday parties, two great kids! I can't believe Leighton and Colt are 1!!

New Camera

I got a "Mom camera!" I bought the Canon Rebel XSi. I didn't have a lot of time to play around with it today, but here are some of the first few pictures I took. Of course they are of Sage!!

Swim lesson

Katie and her daughter Lia, and Sage and I had our first swim lessons last Wednesday. We will have one every week for the rest of the semester. The first lesson went great, and it is so good that we are doing this together. We both have pools! Watch out Micheal Phelps!!

A Cabo New Years

Ryan and I got an amazing gift for Christmas. A while ago we asked my parents to fly some friends to Cabo for New Years as our Christmas gift. They did, and we had a great time. We had four couples go and had three babies along too. My parents and Ryans parents were able to come to celebrate the new year and help with the babies. :) Thanks guys!! This will be a trip we will never forget! Jessica and I took the boys down to Cabo a day early. Wow...that was kinda hard to travel along with all their stuff. Fufnny too! I just noticed I only posted pictures of the kids. They were the cutest anyway! Mac and Jenny, Jessica and Danny, and Katie and Philip were there too!!

3 New Posts!!

I'm trying to catch up. New Years posts are coming. It was a Cabo New Years!

8 Months

Sage turned 8 Months old on December 29! It just so happened that it was his friend Gage's first birthday that day too! We went to Gages birthday party to celebrate!

At 8 months...

- Sage loves to say Dadadadadada and Nananananan (not momma yet) :(

- He loves the bath

- not doing a great job of sleeping lately ( he was sick and then with the holidays I think he got a little spoiled, mostly my fault) He likes sleeping in our bed :)

- He love wrapping paper and tissue paper

- He takes a bottle at 7:30am, breakfast of oatmeal and fruit at 9 then naps, and lunch is veggies and fruit at noon with a bottle, he has a good afternoon nap, has a snack bottle at 4 then dinner of fruit and veggies at 6. He also gets a bottle right berfore bed about 7:30 (on a good night)

- Sage loves to drink out of his sippie cup. He will only drink from the NUK brand as of now.

- last time he got weighed about 3 eweks ago he was 18 lbs 4 oz

- He is not crawling yet

- Sage loves to walk holding on to someone of course. (he might walk before he crawls!)
