Not so perfect...

I don't know if its becuase I'm VERY pregnant or Sage is turning two soon, but man he has learned how to push my buttons! He recently has started to do things that he knows he is not allowed to do while starring at me and smiling. For example, he is starting to climb on the coffee table in the living room and put his feet on the table when he eats. Its almost like a game for him. He doesn't cry when I put him in time out anymore. Just sits there and then says "hold, hold" when he wants me to hold him. Some afternoons seems SO long before Dadda gets home.

Not to mention we took the pacifier away from him unless he is in bed or the car seat and is sleeping. That has been rough too. I want to give in so many times at the end of the day when I'm so tired and he is whining, but I know that will only make the process longer. I guess the next step is to take away the pacifier at nap time then bed time. Of course when Avery comes who knows what will change...
On a lighter note, here are some pictures of today when we took Colt and Sage to the Park in Jessica and Dann'ys neighborhood. Sage LOVES tunnels, so this park was so much for him!

Holding the Dadda's drinks on the way to the park.

Ultrasound today

We had an ultrasound today! Everything is great! Avery is head down and is weighing around 5 lbs 5 oz. Dr. Norton is not going to change the due date like my first doctor did. So I am officicially 32 weeks and 4 days and due March 18. I still think I will have her much earlier, but only time will tell. 5 lbs 5oz is pretty big for 32 and a half weeks, so I was told to watch my Carb and sugar intake. My stomach is measuring fine, but we don't want to have to have a C section or be induced, so I am going to (try to) cut back on my beloved carbs and sugar!

Of course they told me Sage was VERY big at 36 weeks, I had him at 37 weeks, and he was way smaller then what they thought. I'm not worried, but I am going to follow doctors orders!

We can't wait to meet baby Avery!! During the ultrasound we got to see her blink her eyes and then it looked like she was chewing. So cute! We also saw some of her hair! Here are two profile shots and one head on shot.

Love for Avery

Today my sister, Carly, and three of my good friends, Jessica, Kristen and Jenny hosted a diaper/"girly" shower for me and baby Avery. It was amazing! Fun games, great food, cute decorations, and wonderful friends! I was gifted with so many diapers, wipes, and all things girly. I am so blessed to have such generous and loving friends and family. Thank you everyone!
It is hard for me to imagine having a girl. All I know is boy stuff. I now feel more prepared with all the pink, several bows, cute dresses, all things girl!

Poor Guy

Sage has an ear infection, a cold, and pink eye. Poor little guy! He looks miserable but still wants to play and laugh most of the time! except when we are wiping his nose or eye. I hope this goes away soon. We will be locked up in the house for a couple days I guess. I hope Ryan and I don't get it!

On a lighter note....A few mornings ago, when he was feeling much better, I put some strawberries and blueberries in with sage's yogurt. He thought it was so funny and loved picking out and eating all the fruit.

Did you hide something in here mom?
A Strawberry!

Blueberries!

So Messy and Fun!

Counting down the days

This pregnancy has been great, but this last trimester has been hard. I am tired most of the time and my body is so sore. My back is the worst. It's hard to sit, get up, bend over, stand for a long time, ect. I'm sure its because when I was pregnant with Sage I got to rest a lot. With this pregnancy I am chasing after a toddler. Ryan's mom took Sage today for the night and after I dropped him off I came home and slept for three hours straight! I needed it!

We are so ready for Avery to be here! Of course, her nursery isn't ready, and I can't imagine the work two children will be under the age of two, but I can't wait to meet her. And I can't wait for my body to feel normal again!

Who wants a post without pictures?!?!
Here are some things we have been doing lately...
We started swimming lessons again. But since I am HUGE and won't be able to swim right after Avery is here, Ryan is swimming with Sage. It is so neat to watch Ryan play/work with Sage in the pool. It is a great activity for them to do together. I have to sit far away, so Sage doesn't get distracted by me, but i got one pic from the viewing room. Sage's friends Lia, Luke and Emily are in his class.

Sage and I go to the Little Gym every Monday. Last week was the end of the semester and they had a little ceremony where each child got a certificate and ribbon. Sage loves it!
At bouncing Bears again
Painting on his new easel he got for Christmas. I moved it into the play room because everytime we got ready for bed he wanted to paint. It's funny how I get everything ready..and he wants to paint for about 30 seconds. It takes way longer to get everything cleaned up!!

Ok, Sage would not take Ryan's hat and ONE of my black leather gloves off the other day. Even after we changed his clothes. It was so funny, He looked like an 80s rapper or something...

What a blessing!

I don’t want to brag, BUT I’m going to…
We moved Sage into his new room with his toddler bed and he is doing AMAZING!

The first night he was a little freaked out when we said he was sleeping in this new room, he cried for a bit until I calmed him down by laying with him and looking at my pictures on my I phone. Once he fell asleep I left and he slept the whole night! When he woke up he just stood in the middle of his room and waited for me to get him. That was 6:30- a little early for me. The next night was easier, no crying, just me laying with him and he slept till 5:30, woke up, turned on his mobile, grabbed a book form his bookcase and then fell back asleep till 8!!!

I have heard horror stories about transitioning toddlers into beds too early. I wanted Sage to be used to his new room and new bed before Avery joined us in March. I think we are off to a good start. He loves his new room and loves to lie in his new bed. Tonight I laid down with him and told him that I was going to go downstairs and he was going to go night night. He said ok and I left. No tears, no running to the door. He just got up and grabbed his sippie cup of water, took a drink, and climbed back in bed and went to sleep!! I hope he keeps this up!!!

Thank you Sage!!

One less thing to stress about! Now to get Avery’s nursery ready… only 9 more weeks till my due date!
My BIG BOY!!
