Some good one-on-one time with my baby girl!

Sage had me all to himself for almost two years, but Avery rarely has ALL of me, so I cherish these days with her.

Dinner time! Yes, they are watching TV...I was getting ready. Not a typical night

Ok, Sage learned how to unlock his door and hang on it until it opens. (the lever lock around the doorknob is pointless now) At first he started to just come down in the morning and snuggle with me. That was great until it got earlier and earlier (like 3am) and then he started to not stay in his room at all. And... then he got sick. When your children are sick you baby them (at least i do)So that made the sleeping problems even worse. He ONLY wanted to sleep in MY bed with ME.
Well we decided to STOP this last weekend. This caused some horrible nights! Screaming, crying kicking, hitting, banging, ect. I would hold him in my arms with all my strength (because I felt weird pinning him to his bed) until he calmed down. After two nights of very little sleep things started to get better. I stuck with it and did not give in. Even though that would have been easier.
We started bribing Sage. I like to call it Positive Reinforcement. Well, for the last 5 nights Sage has done great!! Perfect actually! He has a clock in his room that has a bunny sleeping and in the morning the bunny wakes up. He is allowed to come downstairs when the bunny wakes up (7:10) We have been rewarding him all week with his favorite things.

First was the aquarium to see the sharks!!

She could watch the fish all day! Then, ice skating. He stayed on his feet a little longer than Christmas day.

Still only lasted about 20 minutes.

And then today we went to Houston Oaks to play some golf. My Dad joined us today!

Funny Bugs!

Sage started his new class at The Little Gym today! He is now a Funny Bug! He did a great job going in by himself and following his teacher. I was so proud of him. After about 45 minutes he was ready for class to be over. He came out to see me two times but happily went back to the class. Such a BIG boy!!
Lia is in his class too and they both did a great job! Luke and Emily will be there next week! I can't believe our kids are almost 3!

We had Avery baptized last Sunday at our home church, Faithbridge. It was a wonderful baptism ceremony. It all happened really fast so we didn't invite anyone to join us except for Avery's grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Aunt Carly and Uncle Jacob were able to make it! What a special day. We are so blessed to have Avery in our lives and we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her life. She is a special girl!

My friend Lisa Mitchel is getting married!! I went to her bridal shower last weekend and had a great time! It was nice getting away for a bit and spending some time with the girls. I am so happy for Mitch and I can't wait for her big day! Sage and Colt are ring bearer's and Leighton is the flower girl! This is going to be adorable!! I took Avery out of her bath seat for a bit the other night. She went crazy; Kicking, trying to stand up, lay down, get out. It was hallarious! Sage and I were laughing so hard. Sage just wanted to hold her the whole time. Thank goodness for that bath seat!

She knows where her tummy is and Loves to wave hi and bye.

When given a bow she tries to put it in her hair and when given a brush she tries to brush her hair. So cute. I don't remember Sage being able to make these connections at this age but maybe he did. Or she is just GT!! :)

Promoted!!

Sage has officially been promoted at the Little Gym! Promoted to the class where I DON"T have to go in with him. Yes, I still have to be there and I get to watch his class, but Avery and I can sit and look through the window. I
'm excited and a little nervouse to see how he handles this next week. The teacher told us not to have any expectiations. (Sage's friends Lia, Emily and Luke are all moving up together!) Sage could run in and out of the main room the whole time, cry for me to come in, or be fine and just stick with his teacher. The only thing us moms are NOT supposed to do is go into the gym. Fine with me! We will see how he does Tuesday! He is such a big boy!!

Avery is 10 Months

Avery turnend 10 Months January 6.

Didn't get a pciture with the 10 month sign, but I did take pictures that day.

I can't believe she is almost a year old already.

Here is what she is up to these days:
Sleeps great at night from 7pm- 7am (usually)
Her naps are getting a little more unpredictable. She can stay awake longer in the morning so she is taking her 2 hour nap around 10. There are days that she doesn't get an afternoon nap at all. And some days she goes down again around 3. At least its easy to tell when she is tired
She is eating almost exclusivly table food.

Favorites food so far are- pasta, avacado, deli tukey and deli honey ham, beans, peaches,tortillas and rice
Avery celebrates every bite by clapping and waving her hands in the highchair

She is drinking more and more out of a sippie cup

She loves her car and I love that everyone likes to push her around!! Avery loves to dance and clap when she hears music! She is always looking for Sage and wanting to play with him (he doesn't always like that) Here she is watching him on the new mini trampoline

She likes to play with toys that light up, make noise, and that she can manipulate all herself and SO DO I! Avery loves to pull up and walk around tables, dressers, and stairs
Remembering Sage at this age AND at the same window!... Hasn't taken her first step yet, but she is close- she is a fast little crawler

She loves to jump. Whether on the trampoline or on the ground she loves to jump

Everything goes into her mouth right now

She started saying Mama this month! I think she knows that Mama is me too!

She has started to prefer me when I'm in the room and gets upset when I leave but only for a bit. We have only had one bad day at Church where we had to pick her up early. Unfortunantly it was Christmas Eve

She still loves to smile all the time and her belly laugh is adorable!

My sister and I are already planning her Ladybug first birthday party. Seen anything cute? Of course we are all over Pintrest and etsy!

So... the Cowboys won the Fiesta Bowl and then the Texans won their FIRST playoff game ever! What a week!

Sage and Avery had a great time at the game. Sage was so excited about the game and realy into it. Yelling "First Down" and "Go Texans"! And Avery was all smiles the whole game!

My friends Jenni and Ashley just had babies and I wanted to share their adorable boys with you all!! It is so amazing to have friends like these girls, that are more like sisters. We have been through a lot together and I love them both!

Ashley's parents and my parents were friends way before we were even born. We have known eachother since birth and she is a sister to me. Here is the oldest pictuer I could find of us

And here we are now with our babies (Sage was at MDO)

Carly Ashley and I have been through a lot together and it was son fun to spend some time with all our new babies. Its so cool to think our Moms were taking us on playdates with eachother and now here we are doing the same thing!

Jenni and I were inseperable in elementary school. We did everything together! And of course Carly was there too. The three of us would make up these dances and then perform them for our moms. No matter how far apart we live or how long it goes between seeing eachother we will always be best friends!

NYE 2011

We had some adult time on New Years Eve with some great friends! We all had a good time and it reminded us how old we really are... I was tired by 11, laughing at outfits that are "in style," and tipsy after two drinks. It was my last new years eve in my 20s though and we sure made some memories!

I got a new camera lens for Christmas that I LOVE!

Cannon 85mm 1.8. Check out some of these great pics! I got the Double BOB stroller! LOVE it! It just glides across the street! Went on a walk today with Jessica and her two boys. Sage and Colt were in the BOB and Avery and Lane were in my old stroller. The BOB is SO MUCH BETTER!!!

Sage says this all the time, even if it doesn't make ANY sense.

He is really into hockey right now. He loves to go to Aeros games, sing we will we will rock you, wear hockey jerseys and play with his hockey sticks and pucks. He asked Santa for hockey skates and Ice everytime we saw him.

SO...I asked my dad if he could open the Aerodrome so we could take Sage ice skating

An Early Christmas!

Sage, Avery and I spent the day with Carly and Tatum at her house. When Ryan and Jason got home we celebrated Christmas early. Jason has to work on Christmas and we wanted him there to watch the kids open their gifts, so they (sage) opened all their presents from each other. Sage loved opening ALL the gifts.

Early Christmas

I know I say this all the time but time is going by so fast! Ryan is growing up and I love every minute I get to spend with him! :)

Birthday Surprise!

When Ryan came home from work on Wednesday I surprised him with a trip to Vegas for his 31st birthday! I have NEVER been able to successfully surprise Ryan, but this time I DID! He had no idea I was planning anything, and when he read the card that said "Pack your bags NOW!" he was excited and confused all at the same time. After I explained to him that I had cleared it with his boss and the kids were taken care of he was off to pack his bag. We had such a great time in Vegas! This was both of our firsts trips there and we had a great time exploring the city with eachother.

I fell in love with Ryan all over agian this weekend!

The only bad news is....

Sage, Avery and I met my friend Lindsay and her adorable son Asher at the zoo today. I had a great time catching up with Lindsay and the kids seem to love all the animals. Except the birds, Sage was scared of the loud noises the birds were making so much that he started crying. It was so funny. Of course I got some pictures. Does that make me a bad mom?!? Lindsay and I both forgot our good cameras, so here are our i phone pics.

Santa 2011

Sage and Avery saw Santa at The Little Gym this week. We talked it up and Sage was so excited. He was excited till he got there and then said he was scared. He did tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas and he didn't cry, so I guess thats a victory. Just didn't get a smile from him. Avery was teary eyed at first but was fine once she saw Mommy wasn't going to far.

Houston Oaks Christmas

Ryan and I took the kids and met my parents at the Houston Oaks Christmas Party on Sunday night.

Sage would NOT take a picture with me...so we improvised!

Adding some wood to the fire! He was scared at first but then loved it. He put 3 logs in and loved to hear the fire POPWe bribed Sage to get these next two pics. He got to blow out 3 candles at our table!

The kids got to meet Santa while we were there. He looked a little familiar :)

We were a little worried that Sage would recognize Papa's voice but after a short pause and stare-he didn't seem to notice! Santa has a deeper voice than Papa!

He told Santa he wanted hockey skates (check) boots (check) a guitar (umm...) and golf clubs (check) I think we are ready for Christmas!

Fun Weekend

My brother and Desmond came in this weekend (Brian was in a wedding) so Ryan and I and the kids went to my parents house for the weekend. Sage and Desmond have so much fun with each other one minute and are fighting or crying the next. I guess that's just how 2 and a half year olds are. They are like brothers; I love that they are this close. Sage talks about Desmond all the time and when they see each other they get so excited!!

Friday we invited the McGraws to come over and play and stay for dinner. Sage, Desmond, and Colt had a lot of fun playing together.

SOOO tired! Saturday we went to out to lunchAvery loved the tortillas and rice!I took Sage to the bathroom and Ryan said he looked away for one minute and Avery was in my sour cream and painting it all over her face. She thought it was fun though!We went to our friends baby shower after lunch and Avery got to taste a strawberry cupcake.

LOVED it, of course! Then we had Ryans Company party and Brian took Des and Sage to see Happy Feet Two. This was Sage's first time to the movie theater and he loved it!

Being Silly this morning! On the way back home. What a fun, weekend..someone is pooped! And so is Sage :)

NINE Months!

WOW!

Avery is 9 months old.

She turned 9 months December 6 when her cousin Tatum turned ONE month old.

Some things I don't want to forget:

21 lbs 12 oz.- 91%

28.5 " - 82%

She has grown 2 inches and 2 lbs from her 6 month check up!

The Doctor was very impressed when Avery started reading :)

HA!

Avery has been taking long naps recently. still one at 9:15ish and then one at 12:30ish

She still goes to bed at 7:00 sharp and has been waking pu about 7:30 lately!

We introduced solid foods to her on Tuesday and she seems to love them! She has tried bananas, watermelon, hotdogs, torillas, and bread cut into tiny bites.

She is doing pretty good with her sippie cup

No teeth yet. Wonder if it will be 18 months like Sage till we see a tooth

Avery is CRAWLING!! I love it! Sage didn't learn to crawl till after he walked so it's so fun to see Avery crawl to me!

She is also pulling up on her own and walking while we hold her hands. It won'tbe long till she walks I'm sure.

Avery still loves to just watch Sage all day long, she also loves Super Why on PBS, watching dogs run around, and anything that lights up and makes noise

She is putting everything in her mouth and chewing on it all

She says DADA, NANA, and has said MAMA a few times

Avery is ALWAYS smiling!

She usually has her mouth wide open and her tongue sticking out

She has started this high pitch scream that she does when she's happy or wants something she can't reach. Its really loud

She is starting to have some seperation anxiety but when I'm out of sight she is fine

Avery is one tough little girl already. Sage plays pretty rough with her and she just laughs through it all.

I love to see Sage and Avery starting to play together!!

Avery is such a good baby and I still can't believe she is already 9 months old. I love her so much and find myself kissing her chubby cheeks all the time! I just can't get enough of my sweet, happy baby girl!

We went to the OSU vs OU game this past weekend and it was so fun! I was a little nervous about bringing the kids to the 7:00 game, but so glad that we did! What a great afternoon! We decide to do the candy house while Brian and Suzanne and the kids were in town and I'm so glad we did. It was so great to share this tradition with them! We went to Sage's friend, Bennett's, birthday party Monday night. Sage had a great time and loved singing happy Birthday to Bennett (multiple times). He just kept singing it! So cute!

Sage was so scared of the pinata. We were laughing about it but he was really scared, maybe because it looked like a monster, it was dark, and Brad was making it move every time Sage went to hit it. He tried a couple times to hit it but just got too scared.

Ryan and I took the kids and our friends the Flacks and the Collins to Houston Oaks this weekend. Everyone had a great time. The Flacks have a son, Bennett that just turned three and the Collins have a son, Bryson who is a little over one year old. The boys got along really well and had lots of fun. (Untill Sage pushed Bryson off the golf cart on Sunday morning right before we left. UHG!)

Jessica and I took Colt and Sage to Disney on Ice last Thursday. The boys had a great time. Sage is so in to anything ice skating right now. Hockey mostly, but any ice skating is amazing to him. It didn't start till 7:30 so the boys were very tired by the end but it was fun!

Avery turned 8 months on Tatum's birthday, November 6! With everything going on and Tatum being such a surprise, we didn't get pictures with the 8 month sign, but I did take some pictures to document the day.

Here are somethings I don't want to ever forget!
Avery is....

Almost 22 lbs (hasn't been weighed since flue shot at 7 months)

Eating the same as last month- baby food for breakfast lunch and dinner plus bottles at each meal and an extra one around 3
not liking the puffs we have tried to give her.
taking two naps 9am and noon
goes to bed at 7pm and wakes between 6 and 7 (the time change has made for some early mornings)
Loves when Daddy wears a hat- she loves to play with baseball hats!
still goes to bed with no rocking, just watches her mobile till she falls asleep (thank God!)
"talking" a lot- mostly dadadada and nananana. I've heard a couple mamamammas too!
loves to watch Sage do anything even if hes being way too rough with her
laughs and smiles ALL the time
really only fussy when shes hungry or tired
has started to prefer that I hold her rather than strangers. Still does well at the nursery at school though!
standing up- holding on to something of course
has pulled up to a standing position a couple times
loves to crawl- only backwards
still loves her bouncy and now loves her walker too
is TOTALLY smitten with her Uncle Jason- He makes her laugh so hard!

Little Tatum is diong great! She got to leave the NICU on Wednesday morning and I was there to capture it on my camera! Then Friday I went back to Carlys and got to feed and watch Tatum while she and Jason slept and my mom went to a brunch. I love her so much!! So hard to say goodbye! Makes me think about having another one...for a split second until I pick up Sage from MDO....I can't handle another!!

Sometimes I would laugh when Carly said she needed to see Sage and Avery because it had been too long. Now I see what she means!! Unfortunantly, it is not possible for me to see Desmond and Charlie very often, but knowing that Tatum is only 30 minutes away, its hard to go a day with out seeing her and loving on her! I havn't seen her since Friday and I will be over there as soon as I drop off Sage tomorrow! It's crazy to see my little sister as a Mommy. I love it! She is diong such a great job!

That is something you want to hear from your husband when your 8 month old daughter and pregnant sister are the only ones with him in the house. As I ran across the street into the house I couldn't help but think of what could have happened.
I walked in and saw my sister sitting on the ground. "My water broke!" She said
WOW what a night!!

We were all getting ready for teh big OSU K state football game. Jessica and Danny were coming over with the kids and my a few of my neighbors were outside enjoying the weather. i was outside with Sage taking to my friends Beth , Tiffany and (another) Tiffany when I heard Ryan yell "Keri, Come Quick!"

Carly was only 35 weeks pregnant and her water broke Saturday night right before the OSU game. I quickly (not that calmly) took her to the hospital and met Jason (her husband) and my dad there. Ryan stayed home with the kids and Jessica and my neighbors helped with Sage and Avery. I have great friends! My mom was out of town and Jason was on the night shift at work. Everyone made it eventually, and we stayed up (almost) all night waiting for Tatum to come. Carly had Tatum yesterday morning, November 6. She was due Dec. 7. Tatum was 5 pounds 11 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.

PERFECT!

Carly had a fever right after having Tatum but is feeling good now. (well as good as you can feel the day after having a baby)

Tatum is in the NICU but doing well. We hope she gets to come home soon!

Waiting for her to come. Watching the Cowboys stressfull game helped the time go by faster. What a great WIN!

So, Saturday evening when we went to visit Tatum in the NICU they let us walk right in with Sage and Avery. No questions asked.

(We found out today that children are NOT allowed- oops!)

We got some great pictures though!

Sage was a little scared at first, but just looked at her and smiled. Later that night he kept asking for her and prayed for her before bed

Avery was very interested in the monitor with all the blinking numbers

I am completely in love with my niece and am excited to watch her and Avery grow up so close! They are exacly 8 months apart.

It's so funny how you have thesee high hopes of what the night is going to be like and it never turns out the way you planned.

The plan was to trick or treat with Lia, Emily and Luke for a bit, get some cute pictures and call it a night

Reality was ...

I had to beg Sage to go up to the doors to trick or treat

He was done after three houses, just wanting to eat candy

(He was so tired- doesn't get a long nap at school)

And he cried for Tatum for the rest of the night (Tatum is a little girl that is friends with our neighbors.) I think shes in 2nd grade and Sage LOVES her. He falls down and calls for Tatum to pick him up. Last night his hockey shorts were falling down and he only wanted Tatum to pull them up.

OSU Homecoming 2011

Ryan and I took the kids to Stillwater this past weekend with my parents for Homecoming.

It was so fun to watch Sage "oohhing and ahhing" over the house decks and having so much fun at the carnival Friday night.

I feel like Sage is growing up so fast!

( I know I say that about both kids all the time, but its SO true!)

He has been talking so much more lately. It seems like his vocabulary has just sky-rocketed since he started school this year. And he is such a great big brother! If someone new comes into the room he always tells them "this is baby Avery" and when he wakes up and doesn't see Avery right away, he always asks where she is. He loves to make her laugh!!

He really is just a little man now!!

7 Months!

Avery was 7 months yesterday!

I really do believe that somhow the time goes faster when you have two (or more) kids.

This feels like yesterday

But SO glad it wasn't!

These last 7 months have been a whirlwind of emotions, but most of all amazing. Our family wouldn't be the same without Sage's smiling sister Ms. Avery!

Some things I want to document

About the same schedule as last month- wakes about 7 eats a premade oatmeal with fruit then 6 oz. bottle. Then she naps about 9. Lunch is at 11 with a veggie and fruit followed by a 6 oz. bottle and nap at noon- 2:30ish. She has her afternoon bottle at about 2:30. Dinner is at 5:30 with a veggie, yogurt and fruit. Then its bathtime! Before bed she has a bottle at 6:30.

Bedtime is 7.

Thankfully we just have to lay her down and she grabs her blanket, rolls over, and goes to sleep!

Avery has loved every food we have given her so far :) And is a great eater

(as if you couldn't tell)

She can hold her bottle and feed herself (sometimes)

Her absolute favorite thing to do is JUMP! Avery loves to jump in her jumperoo, but will jump on your lap, on the couch, anywhere!

Avery LOVES to watch and laugh at Sage. He will look like he is playing way too rough but she is just laughing through it all! She is going to be tough!

Avery still only says DADA... whatever :) still cute!

My favorite time with Avery is when I have her all alone on my lap laughing away with me.

Brian, Suzanne, Desmond, and Charlie came for a very quick visit this weekend. First we watched the OSU game Saturday afternoon.

Then we went to a shower for our good friends Mark and Jacqueline. Suzanne and Brian came in to town to help host the gender reveal baby shower. We found out at the shower they are having TWIN BOYS!! We are so happy for them and can't wait to meet the sweet baby boys! I'm sure they will look after Avery like the Donat boys always looked after me. (Heck, they still do, in their own way!)

When I had my hair done my friend, Tiffany, picked up Sage from school for me (along with her twins) And they played till I finished. Thanks Tiff!

Katie and Lia kept Avery for me! Practicing for when she has two girls. Very soon!! I'm so lucky I have such great friends! I will need them more in the next few weeks! :)

Ryan and I celebrated our fourth anniversary last Monday. Our anniversary was Thursday the 22, but we had to go out before my parents and his parents went out of town. We had a great time just relaxing and eating lots of yummy food! I love Ryan so much and I can't wait to see what else the future holds for us and our family! We even got a free dessert! I love you Ryan!!

Sage and Avery have started playing together. Avery just adores Sage and Sage loves to make her laugh! He is pretty rough with her and it scares me sometimes but she just laughs and laughs.

This is what Sage has been saying all week after another fun weekend at Houston Oaks! My parents and in-laws joined Ryan and I and the kids for some fun! Carly came on Satuday too! All Sage wanted to do was ride in the golf carts and play golf. He actually has a pretty good swing!

Then on Sunday we had Ryan's company family picnic.

Ashelys Baby Shower

We had Ashley Hurst's baby Shower for Baby Julian last Sunday. Everyone had a great time and I can't wait to meet Baby Julian around Thanksgiving!

Avery 6 Months

Before we start let me just confess that I TOTALLY dropped the ball on Averys six month pictures. She has no pictures with her 6 month sign :( But I do have amazing pictures taken by Shalonda from chubby cheek photography (that I cant post but a couple are on my facebook page)

Avery is half a year old!

I can't believe it!

Here are some things I don't want to forget.

Her Schedule-

Avery eats rice cereal with fruit for breakfast (she just started eating the Gerber premade oatmeal with fruit some days) followed by a bottle

then she naps from around 9-10am
Lunch is a veggie and fruit and a bottle

Her nap time is noon-2 to 3:00 she gets a bottle when she wakes up

Dinner is either rice cereal, yogurt, or pre made oatmeal with a veggie

She goes to sleep around 7 after her last bottle of the day and wakes up around 7am

She weighs 19lbs 10 oz! 95%

Height- 26.75 in. 80%

head is in 75%

She got 4 shots this doctor visit and she did great Only cried untill I picked her up and loved on her

Thankfully she is a good sleeper. She falls asleep on her own in the crib and sleeps through the night most of the time. Occasionally she will wake up and want her paci. As soon as she gets it shes goes back to sleep!

Avery said Dadda a couple days ago for the first time!!!! She only will say it after Sage says it- so cute!

She can sit up on her own

Her favorite thing to do is jump in her baby einstein bouncer! She can bounce in it for an hour!

Avery loves to watch Sage. She smiles at him and reaches for him all the time

She has started to reach out for us when she wants to be picked up. so fun

Avery puts everything in her mouth and drools all day long.

She really knows who I am and wants me to hold her if Im in the room but does not get upset when i have to leave. Hopefully it stays that way!

We love her so much! And love to watch her smile and laugh all day long!

Great Friends

The other night Colt said "Sage, you love me?" Sage said "yes" of course!

It is so funny to listen to their little conversations!

Then today, 5 of Sages friends came over to play! And four of my closest friends.

So glad ALL of these girls get to stay home with their kids and ME!!

I was honored to be a part of Jen and Steve's wedding this weekend.

It was amazing.

Three fun packed days of celebration. Jen is a college friend of mine from OSU. The wedding was in Tulsa, so I packed up, left the kids with Nana and Grandpa and headed north! I did miss Ryan and the kids while I was gone. It was weird staying in a hotel room all alone. I got to see a lot of my college girl friends that I miss so much. Its crazy how most of us are married with children now! I had a fabulous time and manned the guest book and programs very well I must say :)

There was lots of dancing all day long. Then we all went to a bar afterwards. The wedding started at 2 so I was DONE and in bed by 10:45!

While I was playing in Tulsa, Ryan came home from his Scotland trip with my Dad, Brother, and Brother in law. They had a great time. So there were 2 and a half days where we were both gone. So the kids were in Conroe with Ryan's parents. They always have a great time there!

Fun with Cousins

Suzanne and Charlie (Charlotte) came in town Wednesday night so all the cousins were together!We met them at Bouncing Bears Thursday morning! sage could climb up all the slides by himself this visit! He is such a big boy. He tried to catch Desmond everytime he slid down. Then he would complain that Desmond pushed him, No Sage you are just not a good catcher!

Back to my house for nap time. Time to compare Avery and CharlieThen Friday, after Sage's school, we headed out to Houston Oaks for the weekend! We stayed in the newly completed Lodge out there and it is BEAUTIFUL!

DESMOND!

My brohter brought Desmond here this weekend and then left on Sunday, but Desmond got to stay all week! Suzanne and Charlie came in yesterday, and I will have LOTS more pictures to share soon. They are staying all week!

BRAG!!!

What a great day!!

First day of MDO was today.

Last year...

Today...

I talked it up like no other. We talked about how I was going to leave and come back later. We talked about all the fun things he was going to do and all his friends that were going to be there. Went over using the bathroom and telling the teacher when he needed to go. I was pretty confident!

Of course I was ready the night before

And the morning went great!

I asked him what he wanted to wear on his first day of school and he said "Cowboys!"

Sage and Colt ran in the room together and started playing right away! Colt has had some trouble being dropped off in the past, but he did GREAT! So proud of both of them!

No tears as we were leaving...

Sage didn't even say goodbye, too busy playing!

The teachers said he did a great job today! Did NOT have an accident once! She said he went to use the bathroom A ALOT all day long! HEHE! My fault but better than the alternative! They forgot to put a pull up on him while napping and he still didn't have an accident!

Of course, when I went to get him I was a little early and noticed that Sage, Colt, and Luke were not sleeping. Up playing. Happy though, so thats ok with me! They said he did sleep for a bit.

I am SO proud of him! What a big boy!!

Fun at Cal-e-vie and Conroe

Ryan and I had an AMAZING time in California with my brother and Suzanne. Cal-e-vie was exactly what I needed. I have never been so sore in my life, but it was worth it! Work outs all morning starting with a 4 mile hike and ending the day with spa treatments. Two of my favorite things to do! It was nice having time without the kiddos. I think time away makes me a better mother and wife.

The greatest thing about having to leave the kids behind is knowing that they are having TONS of fun with Nana and Grandpa. Ryans Dad took off all week to entertain Sage and Avery with Jean. They had activities planned everyday and the kids never asked about us! (Is that bad?) Of course because of I phones we never went a day without seeing the kids or hearing them! We were to busy to take pictures at Cal-e-vie, but Jean sent us pictures of the kids everyday!
