Santa 2010

The Little Gym, where Sage and I go to play once a week, had a visit from Santa on Wednesday. Sage was scared at first, clinging to me, but then Santa started to play with the fake snow and let Sage pick it up and play with it too. Sage loved him after that!

Of course he did leave crying though because I wouldn't let him have a candy cane. They are SO messy and we were going out to eat!

Please ignore the awful white socks with his black shoes... oops!

My new favorite thing

I think one of the BEST Christmas gifts grandparents can give their grandchildren are recordable books. My Grams used to record her voice on tape reading books and now Halmark has made it easier. They have books that people can record themsleves reading. Sage has two from my mom and Ryans mom last year, but really "gets it" now with the two new ones he just received from my parents. He loves to listen to them everyday! Frosty the Snowman read by my Dad and The Very First Christmas read by my mom. Sage likes to listen to the first page the best. This is where they say his name and their name. He doesn't always listen to the whole story, just likes to hear their voices.
My grandma Jean has recorded one for Sage and I can't wait to open on Christmas. We will treasure these special books for years to come!

Donuts with Dad!

Sage had his first "Donuts with Dad" at Mothers Day Out this morning. Ryan worked from home until 8:30, then we all went to Sage's school for breakfast. He got to make Dadda a tie and he had his first donut ever! I know Sage won't remember it, but I just want to do everything I can to make his first year of "school" memorable! He won't be the only child for long!!!

Christmas Craft with lifelong friends!

Sage had his friends, Colt and Leighton over to make a handprint Santa and play. They had a great time between Sage's cries. Seems lately when he doesn't get his way he has a melt down. Jessica, Amanda, and I had fun catching up!

We made our annual Candy House again this year! We had my parents, my cousins family, my sister and Jason, Ryans Parents, and Jessica Danny and Colt over to make it this year! So much fun and SO MUCH CANDY!!
