Just some fun things we have been doing lately. Mostly at home (still working on potty training)

Whaat to do when your two kids have just exhausted you? Go to Mimis! Thanks Mom for letting us come visit for the day! And the best part?! I got to take a 2 hour nap!!

Sage did everything Carson did that day. And since then he asks for Payton ALL the time. "Where did payton go?" So cute!

Ryan and I leave for California on Tuesday...TUESDAY!! So close, I am REALLY looking foward to this vacation.

Summer School

Throughout the summer some friends and I have been getting together to have an educational play date- "Summer School"- every Thursday. Jennifer Flack, one of my good friends, has planned every week. each week we focus on one color. She plans books to read, crafts, games, and color coordinating snacks! We meet at her house and the kids learn about one color and then they get to play in the backyard! Sage loves going to Bennet's house every Thursday! Then all week we try to find items that are the color we learned about that week.

Thanks Jen for planning this all summer!

Sage is so much better at identifying the colors and he has so much fun!

Dallas Trip

Ryan and I left the kids with my parents and headed to Dallas last weekend. We had a great time with Stevie and Collin. And we got to meet Kinsey's baby Kate! It was nice sleeping in and not worrying about hte kiddos for two short days.

Sunday night while putting Sage to bed I looked at Ryan and said
"that was not a long enough vacation!"
I know that sounds bad, but Sage is a HANDFUL right now!!
We don't have to wait long though. We are going to a Spa in California with my brother and Suzanne next week for 5 days!

Cabin fever

So, we have been
in.
the.
house.
for 5 days now potty training Sage.

Ok, I have had a few outings when they have been asleep or with a babysitter, but other than that we have had a LOT of time at home.
Sage has done great with only two accidents today!

But I have a bit of Cabin fever. I had my mom come over and visit today, which was a BIG help!

Potty Training Day 2

Sage is really doing a good job. I'm so proud of him!
Unfortunantly, whenever he wears underwear he has an accident.
We had two accidents today. One was on our bed. UHG!
He does great when naked! :)

This afternoon he ran and got a book to read

while waiting for "it" to come out "back there" So funny!

On another note

Avery is learning and growing so much...

She can ALMOST roll over

She has started to try and hold her bottle while eating. Especially when shes sitting in her highchair finishing whats left of the formula that I mix in with rice cereal. She has her lean on in this pic! :)

And just today she sat with no help...for a few seconds! She loves that OSU ball!

Potty Training Day 1

I have to say Day 1 was a success!

Had the whole day with Sage, Avery is with Ryans parents.

We started in big boy underwear, but quickly figured out that they needed to go.

So we spent the rest of the day in a long jersey

(thanks Desmond for your party favor)

Sage would say "potty again!" and we would both run to the potty

He got to put a sticker on a piece of paper that I wrote his name on every time he went in the potty. He loved this part! "Sticker time!"

We only had a a few accidents the whole day! He is still trying to figure out when he needs to sit down and when he can stand up. He likes to stand up becuase thats what his BFF Colt does!

Notice all the towels and his juice always near by. And of course, Shamu!

Day 2 here we come!!
