Home to chaos

After 5 days in Cabo it was time for reality to set in.  While I was away we put our house on the market. So the week I got back we were kicked out of the house for many showings. Well, it sold in 5 days and the buyers wanted to move in as soon as possible.  So we fixed what needed to be fixed and enjoyed the last few weeks in our first home together.

I sure did miss these two rascals while I was gone!!!

Tried to potty train Avery when I got back but leaving for the showings and builder meetings at the new house made it pretty hard.  So, maybe I'll try again in a few weeks.

Birthday dinner with Mimi! She wore this wig for fun and my kids cried when they saw her.  Sage would not sit by her or look at her for at least 15 minutes.  Not until she took him to the bathroom and took it off to show hi it was just pretend.  Ha!! He likes blondes I guess

At least we have a lot of friends that let us come over and play while the house was being showed.

Sage wanted to help every person that came to fix up the house.  Here he is helping the exterminator.

We got to have a few playdates at my parents house too

Tatum loves the water table!

BFF trip!

My best friend, Jessica and I went on a vacation at the beginning of June to my parents house in Cabo San Lucas.
No children.
                       No husbands.
                                             No real plans.
                                                                  It was AMAZING!
We left Wednesday and got home Monday.  It was a relaxing, and fun trip that was much needed!  On the second day we were there my other BFF, my sister, Carly, came with one of her good friends Danielle.  We all got lots of sun bathing and reading in, we ate some great food and had lots of time to relax.  Danielle's cousin was able to come for a couple days too.  Here are some pictures from our no hassle trip!
We were quickly reminded how easy it was to not travel with kids.  It was SO EASY for the two of us to check in, go through security, and board the plane with no kids!
We did have to de board our plane because of mechanical difficulties for just enough time to order a drink before we had to board again.  We were an hour delayed but nothing could spoil this trip for us.  No worries here.

Here is a look at our house from the beach.
Although it is a 6 bedroom house, Jessica and I shared a room. HA!

LOTS of  time for this

Nik San Dinner.  We had some AMAZING sushi!

the view from our room.

Danielle, Carly, and Taylor

Dinner at one of my favorite places! La Golindrina (the old Trailer Park)

Fun dessert!

Carly, Jessica, and I went out in Cabo one night.  Lots of dancing and fun!!

Jessica was picked for a game. HA!

Found some Cabo locals

Yes, That's Carly walking down the street with a huge blow up zebra she took from a club. HA! (We took it back)

Beautiful Panchos!
Think we can convince Ryan, Jason and Danny that this needs to be an annual trip?!?!

I have returned!

Don't know if anyone noticed my lack of blogging the past MONTH, but I have returned!  On top of being extremely busy with selling our house, moving, and building our new one, my laptop got crushed in my suitcase.  I have been without a computer for 4 weeks....So this is my attempt to catch you up on all the changes going on in our family and the fun!  Lets start where we left off because for some reason I hate going out of order.  I mean, Someday I will make a hard copy of this blog and I want everything to be in order!  Its like a baby book/ family album I will cherish forever, someday.....

So lets head back to June...

Last Day of school. Avery has changed so much in one year.  Sage looks almost the same.

Sages teachers made him an amazing scrapbook from his year.  Here are a few of my favorite pages

What a great year.  We were blessed that both kids had amazing teachers and they learned so much.  I personally can't wait for school to start again! :)

Two proud Daughters!

I know how amazing my mom is, but it is so cool to see others appreciate her too!  A good friend of hers nominated her for an award and she won! Carly and I were so proud of her and were excited to celebrate with her at the awards luncheon!

Windwood Water Day!

The boys!
