Avery is really reaching for things and trying to figure out how to work her arms and legs lately! It is so fun to watch! And she LOVES to watch sage!

3 months

Avery turned three months yesterday, June 6. Some things I don't want to forget
- She is a great sleeper. She drinks her last bottle around 7 and goes down about 8, then doesn't wake up again until around 6 in the morning! Thank you!!

-She eats every 3-4 hours. 6 oz of formula (just offered her 8 for the first time last night and she drank it all!)

- She smiles when you talk to her and even laughs when you do. So cute!

- She has started grabbing at her toys on her car seat

- She loves to watch Sage... and the TV

- Avery is usually happy watching Sage and I play in her nap nanny or boppy pillow

- She is definitely a paci girl. Loves her NUK pacifier

Mimi's birthday

My mom's birhtday was on Friday. We planned a great night for her! She did not want a surprise party, so my cousin Lisa came up with the idea to have a progressive dinner. We started at her house with appetizers, then our house for the main course and my parents house for dessert. All of my mom's favorite foods!

My cousin has four kids, so we had 8 adults and 6 children all night. It was a little crazy but that made it so much fun! I'm going to forget the fact that I had to spank Sage and put him in time out twice, once for biting his cousin (really hard) and once for hitting Avery in the stomach. I think he is just trying to show off for his older cousins, but it needs to STOP.

At my house Carly and I presented my mom with a surprise powerpoint. For the last two months I have collected responses from all of her family and friends I could get a hold of. I asked them to finish this sentence

We also made her a scrapbook with all of the responses.

We got 125 responses and some of them brought us to tears. There was one underlying theme. My Mom is amazing and is loved by so many. She touches the lives of everyone she meets.

Here is what I wrote...

Kim Watson is my role model.

As a woman of faith,

she inspires me to never stop growing in my faith journey.

As a loving daughter,

she models how to always respect and love your parents.

As a supportive wife,

she shows how to stand by your husband and learn from each other.

The next morning the kids played on my moms new playground and trampoline she got for her birthday!

My Mom did get something besides a playground from my Dad. A new car! Red BMW hard top convertible! Very pretty. I'll get some pictures soon.

And Swim time! Avery's first time in a bathing suit! She got in the water for about 45 seconds.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun!

Ryan and I had a wedding to go to Saturday night in College Station so we headed to his parents house in Conroe to spend the day with the kids and then head off to the wedding. We spent all day Sunday at the lake too with some great friends. The Deans and the Johns came to enjoy the day with us. So much fun with our friends and Sage's friend Willa!

Sunday we went to Houston Oaks. Ryan golfed and Sage, Avery and I enjoyed the day with my mom and sister.

Just the three of us!

Friday evening Ryan and I decided to take Sage to the Aeros game. Just the three of us! Avery spent her first night away from me. She stayed at the lake with Ryan's parents. She had a great time and so did we.

I didn't leave Sage over night with anyone untill he was a little over 5 months...Avery is 2.5 months old. I guess thats another difference with the second child.

It was great seeing Sage have SO much fun at the hockey game. We invited Carly, Jessica and Danny McGraw, and the Flacks, Jen, Brad, and Bennet. The boys were crazy the first period and then hit a wall during the second. They couldn't even stand up, they were so tired. We all left before the third period. We listened on the way home, and we won! What a great time! I am so glad that I have family close so I can spend special one on one time with each of my babies!

The Zoo

Sage got the best gift from his BFF Colt for his birthday. A membership to the Zoo!! We went last Tuesday with my sister and Sages friend Bennet and mom Jennifer. I'm still a little nervous going places for a long time by myself with both kids. Good thing I have Carly who likes to help!! And both Avery and Sage LOVE Aunt CarCar!

The boys had a great time. A lot of the animals were asleep in the shade because it was SO hot! And its only May. I decided after we left that it was probably too hot for Avery, tucked away in her little car seat. She needs to be a bit older before we go back. Maybe a trip with just Sage and Mommy next time.

Little Gym Graduation

Sage loves The Little Gym. He graduated last Monday.

Didn't really have the greatest day. He refused to get in the class picture but did do all the skills he learned through out the semester.

What a big boy!
