The countdown is over

The kids are in Conroe with Nana and Grandpa,

our bags are packed, and

we are ready to head to the airport in an hour!

We are headed to California to a fitness Spa.

Cal-a-vie here I come!!!

To say Sage has been a handful lately is an understatement. I love both my kiddos so much but I need a vacation!!

This is my second trip to Cal-a-vie. Your day is spent going on hikes and to fitness classes all morning and then get pampered in the spa all afternoon! You tell them ahead of time what calorie diet you want to be on. They plan all your meals and snacks to add up to the correct callorie allotment.

NO THINKING! Just a healthy fun vacation!

I've been waiting to go to Cal-a-vie again since we left three years ago. I can't wait to see what Ryan thinks about it!

Here are the kids already having fun with Nana and Grandpa! Thanks guys! Love you!

Ready to go!
Bowling!

We are flying into LA to meet up with my brother, Brian, and sister in law, Suzanne. I'm excited I get to see my niece and nephew before we go too!

Desmond

and Charlie (Charlotte)

My mom is already there. She is taking care of Desmond and Charlie while we all go.

YAY for Grandparents!!

Bathing Buddies!

First time in the bath together!

She's thinking...I get to take a bath with Sage?!?!

Sage is thinking...WHAT?!? I can't splash?!

This is SO fun! I'm such a big girl!

Playing with their toys...probably wondering why there is paparazzi in the bathroom

This will cut down on bath time!

Another comparison

I don't think they look anything alike. Do you?

5 MONTHS!

I can't believe Avery is 5 months already. I feel like time is going by so much faster thatn when sage was this age. We are so blessed to have such an easy going baby. She is such a joy and we love her more than words can describe. Here is a little that I don't want to foget about this age...

Avery is a great sleeper. She rarely wakes up at night and sleeps from 7:30pm-about 7am

She takes three naps- 9am for about an hour, 12:30 for 2 hours, and then 5ish for 30-45 min

Avery loves her baths, which she gets every night, right after dinner

She eats rice cereal with a bit of fruit right when she wakes up and for dinner at 5pm

We have tried pear, apples, peaches, and prunes (not making my own baby food this go
around :)

She eats 6 oz after breakfast and then 8 oz at 11 and 2:30. Then her last bottle before bed at 6:30

Avery can sit up on her OWN!! Sage didn't do this till 6 1/2 months. She is so advanced! :)

She is so close to rolling over

Avery has started to babble and stick her tongue out alot

Sage loves to tickle Avery and make her laugh

Avery loves to watch Sage, she watches him all day long. She looks around the room for him and gives him a big smile, but doesn't like it when he is too loud. Scares her

Any loud noise really upsets her (she may get that from me, I was so scared of fireworks-still

don't like them really

Avery loves to be in her jumperoo, bumbo seat, and standing up!

Sitting up!

And since Sage wanted me to record him doing something..

FUN

Just some fun things we have been doing lately. Mostly at home (still working on potty training)

Whaat to do when your two kids have just exhausted you? Go to Mimis! Thanks Mom for letting us come visit for the day! And the best part?! I got to take a 2 hour nap!!

And if we are outside...we are SWIMMING!! My cousins kids, Payton, Sophie and Reese

and Carson with Sage!

Sage did everything Carson did that day. And since then he asks for Payton ALL the time. "Where did payton go?" So cute!

Ryan and I leave for California on Tuesday...TUESDAY!! So close, I am REALLY looking foward to this vacation.

Summer School

Throughout the summer some friends and I have been getting together to have an educational play date- "Summer School"- every Thursday. Jennifer Flack, one of my good friends, has planned every week. each week we focus on one color. She plans books to read, crafts, games, and color coordinating snacks! We meet at her house and the kids learn about one color and then they get to play in the backyard! Sage loves going to Bennet's house every Thursday! Then all week we try to find items that are the color we learned about that week.

Thanks Jen for planning this all summer!

Sage is so much better at identifying the colors and he has so much fun!

Here are some pictures from through out the summer!

Practicing with the color RED!

I have no idea what they are doing...getting their hair wet I guess...

BLUE WEEK

PURPLE WEEK

Red and blue make PURPLE!

Of course Avery came too!

Only two weeks left...then MDO starts again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dallas Trip

Ryan and I left the kids with my parents and headed to Dallas last weekend. We had a great time with Stevie and Collin. And we got to meet Kinsey's baby Kate! It was nice sleeping in and not worrying about hte kiddos for two short days.

TOP GOLF
We have to open one here in Houston. So FUN, even when you are horrible at golf

Baby Kate
Sage and Avery at my parents. Sage frosting/eating cookies and Avery just being adorable!

Sunday night while putting Sage to bed I looked at Ryan and said
"that was not a long enough vacation!"
I know that sounds bad, but Sage is a HANDFUL right now!!
We don't have to wait long though. We are going to a Spa in California with my brother and Suzanne next week for 5 days!
I.
Can't.
Wait.
