Dinner time! Yes, they are watching TV...I was getting ready. Not a typical night

First time to paint with pudding. Not sure about it at first but then loved it, just like Sage does!

Just playing upstairs. We were trying to get her to walk

Look who found out how to take pictures of himself! I had about 30 photos of this on my camera(It is sports week at his school so he was a football player today although he wanted to be called a hockey player)

Wanting to be just like Sage..

Positive reinforcement!

Ok, Sage learned how to unlock his door and hang on it until it opens. (the lever lock around the doorknob is pointless now) At first he started to just come down in the morning and snuggle with me. That was great until it got earlier and earlier (like 3am) and then he started to not stay in his room at all. And... then he got sick. When your children are sick you baby them (at least i do)So that made the sleeping problems even worse. He ONLY wanted to sleep in MY bed with ME.
Well we decided to STOP this last weekend. This caused some horrible nights! Screaming, crying kicking, hitting, banging, ect. I would hold him in my arms with all my strength (because I felt weird pinning him to his bed) until he calmed down. After two nights of very little sleep things started to get better. I stuck with it and did not give in. Even though that would have been easier.
We started bribing Sage. I like to call it Positive Reinforcement. Well, for the last 5 nights Sage has done great!! Perfect actually! He has a clock in his room that has a bunny sleeping and in the morning the bunny wakes up. He is allowed to come downstairs when the bunny wakes up (7:10) We have been rewarding him all week with his favorite things.

First was the aquarium to see the sharks!!

Jason, Carly, Tatum, and my mom came with us!

Meeting up with Tatum, Carly and J before we go
AQUARIUM

She could watch the fish all day! Then, ice skating. He stayed on his feet a little longer than Christmas day.

Still only lasted about 20 minutes.

And then today we went to Houston Oaks to play some golf. My Dad joined us today!

watching Big Bro (Ya, thats my foot...oops!)

Just being adorable!

We are so PROUD of you Sage!

The boys racing back to the Park House!!

Last weekend was awful, and this weekend so much better.

Thank you Lord for mothering THROUGH me and getting us over this parenting hurdle!!

In the Garage

What to do when it rains all day...play in the garage!! They loved the change of scenery and it got them out from infront of the TV!
First the tool bench!

Please don't tell me my little girl is going to be a Tom-boy! (Not that anything is wrong with that- Just figures that I have the tom boy and Carly has a miss priss! HA)
Then...why not some golf?!?

Glad it's supposed to be sunny the rest of the week!

Funny Bugs!

Sage started his new class at The Little Gym today! He is now a Funny Bug! He did a great job going in by himself and following his teacher. I was so proud of him. After about 45 minutes he was ready for class to be over. He came out to see me two times but happily went back to the class. Such a BIG boy!!
Lia is in his class too and they both did a great job! Luke and Emily will be there next week! I can't believe our kids are almost 3!

Back flip off the beam!

Avery gets Baptized!

We had Avery baptized last Sunday at our home church, Faithbridge. It was a wonderful baptism ceremony. It all happened really fast so we didn't invite anyone to join us except for Avery's grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Aunt Carly and Uncle Jacob were able to make it! What a special day. We are so blessed to have Avery in our lives and we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her life. She is a special girl!

Avery all ready in her beautiful dress that Nana and Grandpa got her! We will ahve to dress her up in this again and take some better pictuers outside!

The back of her dress was beautiful too!

Me and Tatum with Carly and Avery!

I can't believe we didn't get a picture of my parents with her...UHG!

Trying to eat or at least gnaw on her cross she got from the church

Dinner at PF Changs to end the night!

Thank you Lord for your special daughter you have blessed us with!
