Book Time and Play Dates

We moved Avery's reading chair into Sage's room this week and we have Book Time at least once a day.  Book Time=Mom needs a break time.  I make them sit in their chairs and listen to me read a book then they get to read a book.  We are locked in Sage's room until everyone is calm.  Twice, it has been from 4:30 till dadda gets home. (5 ish)They are better behaved in small spaces. And they think its kinda fun! :)

Comparing tummies in the bath.  Even when Sage pushes his tummy out, Avery still wins the biggest tummy contest.  She will grow out of it tight?! :)
We LOVE playdates this summer!

At our neighbors house
Sage having a Bible Day with Mimi.  She takes him once a week and shares a story from the bible with him and some fun activities.  Here they are making edible play doh
At the McGraws pretending to take a nap with Emily and Luke.  This day we actually got Colt, Lane, Sage, and Avery all down for a nap at the SAME time!!

First ever Hogan Family Reunion starts tomorrow

Nothing Else Matters!

Avery cracks me up sometimes!!
She can drive me nuts with her whining lately, I just can't wait until she can actually talk.  With that being said, when she smiles and laughs at me nothing else matters!
Love her so much!
Picked up my Pedi Egg and started using it! I think she has only seen me do this ONCE! HA!
Her new purse from Sea World!

I swear she poses!
HEEEYYY!

Loves her pudding!

Avery and her Daddy!

Fort Time

We have been having afternoon storms lately, so the kids and I started to make forts.  I remember doing this when I was younger and wanted to share this with my kiddos.  Of course now Sage wants to make forts ALL the time. Fun times!

SWIMMING!!

In 10 short days Sage learned to swim!!!!
A lady from our church, Ms Jackie, teaches from her pool 30 minutes a day for two weeks (not weekends),  I was skeptical at first. Sage loves to swim but he relys on his floaties so much.  He could swim by himself with us watching from the side with his floaties, jumping in and just floating.  Wasn't sure how uneasy he would feel without them on. And the first day he was at swim lessons he cried the whole time.  Was in the water for a total of 2 minutes.  Screaming like he was really scared.  Ms Jackie was so good with him.  Never pushed him too much and always calmed him down with a song.  The second day was better, but he still wouldn't put his head under.  The third day he was jumping in!  the fourth day he jumped in from the diving board!!  Now Sage is swimming unassisted after jumping off the board.  What a difference!!! We love Mrs. Jackie!!   Sage LOVED all her songs too!!  And I learned some new fun Christian songs as well!!  I wish I had more time to do some mommy and me lesson with Avery! Maybe in July...
At the end of the 10 days the kdis got to put their handprints on her fence,  Sage put his green ones right next to his cousins!!They look like the smallest hands on the fence so far.

Second day with Lia.

Got a popsicle on day2!
Ready for Day 3!
He puts his face in!!
and floats!
Avery and I swam in her huge spa while sage had his lesson
He is so brave!
His fish with a sticker for every day!
He met ALL his goals!!
Some after dinner swimming with me last night! Learning to come up for a breath!

More swimming!

Tatum and Avery

Adorable Cousins!!
I love watching them grow up together!!
If we could just get Avery to stop hitting her in the face, I like to think she is trying to pat her. :)

Playdate~Conroe Style!

Jean, the BEST mother in law EVER, asked if I wanted to plan a playdate at her house last week. Ummm.....YES!!! So, I asked the kids that were taking swimming lessons with Sage if they wanted to join us. A little practice of what they all learned! (More about swimming lessons in a later post. for now just know that Sage can swim with out floaties!!!)
It turned out to be a little Cabo reunion!  (We missed Jen though!!!)
Jessica with Colt and Lane, Jen with Bennett, and Tiffany with Luke and Emily joined Sage, Avery and I in Conroe with Jean.  Jean planned lunch and ice cream Sundays (even though we took her away the two days before, to Sea World..oops!)

Of course there was some time-outs had by all

Avery kept putting her ear in the water, so funny. I wonder if it made all the  noise the older kids were making sound  funny
We all had a GREAT time and want to do it again soon!!!  Who is in for a Conroe Playdate in July?!?!
