Christmas Angel 2012

In my previous post I explained our new tradition, The Christmas Angel!  I LOVE it, probably more than the kids at this point, but as they grow up they will understand more and more.
Our Christmas Angel writes a special message in her magic angel dust every night. Then I find a bible verse that has the word in it. Last week she has just been reminding us of how The Lord wants us to act, not only at this time of year, but all year long.  This week the angel will give us ideas on how to spread the Good News of Jesus' birth this Christmas.  Lots of activities to mkae and GIVE away this week! Trying to instill in the kids that GIVING is what Christmas is about, not getting
Here are some pictures from the past week!

We filled a stocking with toys for a young boy or girl to bring back to our church to give to a family in need. Sage picked out all the toys and stuffed the stocking!

We thanked God for Sage and Avery's AMAZING teachers and then brought their teachers flowers to show them how much we appreciate them.  I let Sage and Avery pick out the flowers and Sage HAD to get a Thank You balloon too!

This next day was about sharing.  LOTS of practice with this everyday and it still SO HARD for them to understand and remember and do. AHH!

And of course our Elf, Wubie, still visits everyday to watch the kids and report back to Santa!

I love this time of year! Now, if we could get some winter weather that would be REAL nice.  I hate going to Christmas parties when its 80 degrees outside! Maybe tomorrow!
